Highlands East is holding a Mineral Collection Open House to promote public mineral collecting sites. The open house is for everyone and will include a presentation by Recreational Geology Project Coordinator for Ontario Highlands Tourism Organization, Michael Bainbridge. Highlands East is the first municipality in Ontario to secure public mineral collecting sites. The open house will be at the Lloyd Watson Centre July 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
