Funding was announced this week to help increase tourism in Tweed. The municipality received $15,000 from North & Central Hastings and South Algonquin Community Futures Development Corporation. These monies will be used to attract a greater number of visitors to the area with focus being on the shoulder and winter season. An additional $1,500 in funding came from Foodland Ontario to promote the ‘Our Backyard Feast From Farm’ event that’ll be happening on September 28th.
