Bancroft’s 51st Annual Rockhound Gemboree officially kicks off at 9:45 this morning, with the opening ceremonies taking place at the Bancroft Curling Club. The 4 day event is a celebration of the area’s gem & mineral heritage and resources. Events are focussed around the North Hastings Community centre and the Curling club. St John’s Anglican Church will be hosting the annual Gemboree Breakfast and Italian Dinner. Lots of entertainment as well… Tomorrow night, it’s an evening of entertainment at the Railway Station, then Saturday the band Ambush rolls into town for a performance at the Legion.
