Lakers Win Major Series Lacrosse Awards

The Major Series Lacrosse league awards have been awarded and two Peterborough Lakers’ plyers have picked up some hardware. The Jim Murphy Award for the most valuable player in 2014 goes to Mark Steenhuis who led the league in scoring with 83 points. He also won the Bucko MacDonald trophy for leading scorer.The Merve McKenzie Trophy for the Most Valuable Defensive player ended up in a tie between Peterborough’s Brad Self and Joey Cupido of Kitchener-Waterloo.
