A 28 year-old Peterborough man is facing numerous charges. Witnesses told Peterborough County OPP that on Tuesday evening they saw a car being driven at a high rate of speed lose control and enter into a ditch. The driver was reported to have abandoned the vehicle and run into the bush on the side of the road. Officers found the driver after a brief search. He has been charged with: Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle, driving while Disqualified, Failing to Comply with Probation, Suspended Driving, Operating a Motor vehicle without Insurance, Failing to Remain at the scene of an Accident and Using a Plate not Authorized for vehicle. He was held for a bail hearing.
