MNRF extends flood warning for two local rivers

The flood warning for the York and Madawaska rivers has been extended.

That’s according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, which says water levels in the rivers are already high, and could rise because of melting snow and forecasted rain. You should expect flooding near low-lying areas of these rivers, and be cautious near fast-moving rivers and streams.

The MNRF has also issued a flood watch for the Gull River, and a flood outlook statement is in place for the rest of the Bancroft area.
