The final 2017 budget was approved by Bancroft Council yesterday, resulting in an increase of just over 2%.
Bancroft Council says that it’s pleased with the outcomes that will be achieved within the scope of the 2017 budget.
The town says the budget illustrates their broad area of responsibilities and it demonstrates their commitment to sound transparent and accountable principles. They say it’s a progressive budget to facilitate future growth.
They also say that throughout 2017 they remain committed to finding solutions to existing challenges and prepared for new challenges, while growing the town’s economy.
Council extends their appreciation to all who contributed to the budget process and will consider these concerns as they deliberate on the town’s future development.
