Bancroft will receive funding through the Government of Canada’s Clean Water and Waste Water Fund. Local MP Mike Bossio announced yesterday, that Bancroft will receive over $130,000.
The announcement included 10 projects across Hastings Lennox and Addington.
Town of Bancroft CAO Hazel Lambe says the money from the federal government represents 50 percent of the total cost of the almost $264,000 project. That includes camera imaging of the sewer lines, smoke testing and line repairs. The Province will provide a further 25% and the town will contribute the remaining 25%.
