Rubber Duckie Not “The One” For North Hastings Residents

Residents of North Hastings have their feathers ruffled over the cost of a rubber ducky. The province is forking out around $120,000 to pay for the world’s largest rubber duck to pay a visit to a Toronto festival this summer. The total cost is $200,000, which includes transporting the duck, inflating it, and towing it to other communities in Ontario. Moose FM went to the streets to hear what residents think about the cost.

Toronto officials call the cost an investment, estimating every dollar spent will bring in $20 in tourism spending.
