Drivers warned about increase in collisions with moose in Algonquin Park

Those driving through Algonquin Park should be on the lookout for moose.
That’s because the Killaloe OPP has received seven reports of collisions with moose in Algonquin Park last week alone, which Constable Catherine Yarmel says is more than usual for this time of year.
Yarmel says there are steps you can take to prevent a collision.

Yarmel says these steps are important because you are more likely to get hurt if you hit a large animal, like a moose.
There were also two reports of collisions with moose in the Bancroft OPP’s detachment area.
