News Local school boards to benefit from provincial funding SHARE ON: Andreas Pandikiu, contributor, Thursday, Jun. 15th, 2017 Photo credit: supplied Millions of dollars has been set aside for our local school boards. The province says it has set aside $1-billion across Ontario for investments into School Condition Improvement and School Renewal Allocation, along with Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funding. Of that, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board will be getting almost $14-million through these funds, while the Renfrew County District School Board is set to receive nearly $7-million. But our local Catholic boards are not being left out either. The Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board will receive almost $6-million, and the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board is getting just over $4-million.
