Bancroft is once again asking boaters to stay off Clark Lake because of concerns over an invasive species.
Councillor Mary Kavanagh says boaters heading onto the lake could be bringing Zebra Mussels with them.
Kavanagh says this is a major concern as Clark Lake feeds into the town’s $8-million water treatment plant.
The town is also working on a plan to restrict boat access on the lake, and is expected to hold a public meeting on the issue when it’s complete.
