The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) is very happy with the results of the EQAO testing of Grade 9 Mathematics and the Grade 10 Literacy. Academic mathematics students achieved an 86% rating, just above the provincial average of 85%, while the applied students’ results were 46% compared to the provincial result of 47%. The Academic students’ literacy results remained consistent; the Applied English course students had an increase of 3 percent, while students in the Locally Developed English course increased their results by 2 percentage points.
