The 28th Annual Maynooth Madness festival kicks off tonight, and will feature a number of events.
One of the organizers, Joey Shulman, says those interested in the Horticultural Contest are being invited to set up their displays at Maynooth’s old community centre tonight from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
Anyone interested in seeing the Horticultural displays can head over to the Old Community Centre throughout Saturday as well.
Shulman says another big event happening tonight is the ‘Maynooth’s Got Talent’ contest.
Doors for the contest open at 7:00pm tonight at the Arlington Hotel. The show gets underway from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.
Shulman says there are also a lot of events to look forward to on Saturday. That includes the motorcycle and vintage car show and shine from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Maynooth Public School parking lot, complete with cash prizes. North Hastings Children Services will also be running supervised activities for kids in the Hastings Highlands Centre, and a Touch the Truck event behind it as well.
However, there will not be a parade, Loggers Games, the Highland Heavies, or the Mud Daws Mud Run this year.
