Clinics being hosted to protect your pet from rabies

A few low-cost rabies vaccination clinics are coming up in the area this month.

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit says it’s important to protect your pets from the fatal disease which has been on the rise in Ontario. Getting your dogs and cats vaccinated against rabies is mandatory in the area.

The upcoming clinics will offer the shots for $30 per animal. The first is coming up on Thursday, September 28th, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Cardiff Community Centre. Then on Saturday, September 30th, the Faraday Animal Hospital on Highway 28 South will offer a clinic from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The animal hospital will also offer clinics at the Maynooth Firehall from 9:30am to 10:30am, at the Carlow Township Garage from 11:00am until noon, and at the Wollaston Township Garage from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
