A complaint to police has led to a Mississauga man facing dangerous driving and impaired driving charges.
Peterborough County OPP received a complaint from just north of Apsley Sunday afternoon, about a vehicle going more than double the speed limit on Highway 28. Officers clocked the driver going 189 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone, and also determined he had been drinking.
The 44-year-old is set to appear in Peterborough Court on November 2nd.
Constable Jason Folz says the man could face hefty penalties because of the nature of dangerous driving charges.

Folz reminds everyone to make sure they have safe ride home if they plan on drinking.
Folz also says it’s important to call police if you see a suspicious vehicle on the road.
