Environment Canada: Autumn to start hot and end with snow

Autumn officially kicks off tomorrow, and it will start out significantly warmer than usual.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says the average temperature for September is 13 degrees, but this year, it’s been slightly warmer than that. Kimbell goes on to say the temperature will climb this weekend as we head into the hottest bit of weather we’ve seen this month.

But Kimbell is quick to point out that these warm trends can change quickly, with a cold front expected to move into the region by this time next week. That could mean the end of September will be a little cooler than usual. From there, Kimbell says the fall months will mean cooler weather across the area.

Autumn officially begins at 4:02pm tomorrow.
