Police lay charges after attempted robbery in Gooderham

A Lindsay man is facing charges after an attempted robbery at the Lucky Dollar Store in Gooderham.

Haliburton Highlands OPP say two suspects had gone into the store on Mill Street on the morning of July 11th, but were not able to steal anything. The two left in a 1984 black Buick Grand National.

A 35-year-old now faces charges including robbery with violence, disguise with intent, overcoming resistance by attempting to choke, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police continue to investigate, and ask anyone with information to contact Haliburton Highlands OPP or Crime Stoppers.
