Two Deaths Over Thanksgiving Weekend

Despite the efforts of the OPP and other partners, two young people died in vehicle crashes over the Thanksgiving Weekend. Police say that speed was a factor in both deaths and that not using a seat-belt was a factor in one fatality. A 17 year-old woman died when her car crashed at a high speed on Saturday. She was not wearing her seat-belt. On Sunday a 20 year-old man lost control of his Off Road Vehicle (ORV) while driving at speed and was killed. Deaths on roads are at 222 for 2014, up one from this time last year and ORV fatalities are sitting at nine so far.
