St. Paul’s United Church in Bancroft will be celebrating a milestone on Sunday.
Reverend Lynn Watson says this Sunday marks the 120th anniversary of worship in the current building. Watson says the anniversary is important, and touches on the roots of settler expansion into Eastern Ontario.
In those years, a lot has changed at the building. Watson says there’s been a lot of work put into it, like raising the building, and renovating the basement and kitchen.
In light of the anniversary, a special sermon is planned for Sunday. It will feature a guest preacher from the same church that originally dedicated the building 120 years ago. Sunday’s sermon starts at 9:45am.
