Text Messages Entered Into Evidence At Murder Trial For Madawaska Valley Women

More text messages have been read in court during the murder trial of three women from the Madawaska Valley.

Over 120 text messages were sent between the accused, Basil Borutski, and Carol Culleton in the two weeks leading up to her death.

Of those Culleton only sent 15.

The texts show that a man identified only as Basil in her contacts felt there was a love relationship between the two of them that was clearly not mutual.

In one text Culleton had asked the texter to stop bothering her.

Bortuski is accused of first degree murder in the deaths of Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk, and Nathalie Warmerdam.

He is representing himself at trial and a not guilty plea has been entered for him.

Borutski has remained largely silent during his trial.
