A Bancroft man found guilty of sexual assault dating back to 2002 will spend four years in jail.
J. Steven O’Connor was sentenced in Belleville court earlier today. In July, the 57-year-old was convicted of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching involving a person under 16, and uttering threats.
On top of the jail term, O’Connor will also serve a lifetime weapon prohibition. O’Connor will be added to the sexual offender registry, and need to provide a DNA sample.
