Another attempt to be made tomorrow to get Loyalist students back to class

There is still no word on when Loyalist College students will be returning to the classroom.

The province’s second attempt to get college students back to class did not get unanimous support during a vote held this afternoon. Premier Kathleen Wynne will table back-to-work legislation for the third time during a special sitting tomorrow afternoon. Wynne says students should be back to school next week, but when will depend on how long it takes to pass the legislation.

Faculty at Ontario’s 24 colleges has been on strike since October 16th.

Loyalist College President and CEO Ann Marie Vaughan says she is hopeful classes will resume next week.
