The annual Model United Nations conference for Hastings and Prince Edward secondary students wil take place in Belleville this week, at the Education Centre. The topic for this year is Pandemics: The World’s Response and Responsibility. Students will represent 20 different nations and will explore, discuss and attempt to arrive at resolutions for global reaction to and management of pandemics and the outbreak and spread of infectious disease. A keynote address will be given by Dr. Richard Schabas, the chief Medical Officer of Health for Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. to start the event.
