Home sales in the Bancroft area continue at above-average levels for this time of year.
That’s according to Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors President Marilyn Dillon, after a more-than-17 per cent year-over-year spike in home sales in November. Twenty seven homes were sold.
Dillon is calling this a sharp contrast to this summer’s home sale activity. She says inventory is at an all-time-low, so the market is quite tight. So far this year, the average price for a home in the area has gone over 11 per cent.
Last month, the average price was nearly $220,000, which climbed almost 39 per cent year-over-year. However, the association says these changes are typically more volatile in the fall and winter months.
Homes spent an average of just over three months on the market in November.
