Hastings Highlands will have a new Chief Building Official as of January 2nd.
The municipality says Martin Cox has been named to the role. Cox steps in with a number of years of experience, and currently works for the City of Belleville as an institutional, commercial, industrial and residential building official.
Mayor Vivian Bloom says she is thrilled that Cox will be joining the Hastings Highlands team, as he brings many years of experience which will benefit the municipality.
This comes as the current CBO, Frank Mills, is expected to retire in the New Year. Mills will stay on for three months to help ensure an easy transition.
