Good Food Market being moved to new location in Bancroft

The Community Development Council of Quinte’s Good Food Market in Bancroft is getting a new home.

Starting this year, the market will be found in the old town office at 24 Flint Avenue, which is now the Kijicho Manito office. Program Coordinator Jim Mallabar says the CDC team is very excited about the move.

Mallabar says the good food market is a program offered to communities across Hastings County, which provides fresh fruits and vegetables.

Since the program started in 2015, it has served over 1,500 people in Bancroft.

The Good Food Market will be open this Thursday in Bancroft and Coe Hill. It runs from 10:00am until 12:00pm on the first Thursday of every month in Bancroft, and then from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Coe Hill Legion.
