Environment Canada says today’s rain mixed with melting snow could result in water pooling on local roads and in low-lying areas.
With up to 20 millimetres of rain in the forecast, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the area.
The rain will keep up into tomorrow, when a cold front hits, causing it to quickly change to snow with the risk of freezing rain. This could cause icy conditions on roads and sidewalks.
