Environment Canada concerned about possible flash freeze tomorrow

An Environment Canada Meteorologist is concerned about the fluctuating weather in Bancroft.

A special weather statement is in effect, and Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says tomorrow will start out warm and rainy, with a sharp cool-down in the afternoon. At that point, the rain will likely turn into freezing rain for some time before changing to snow.

Coulson says this could prompt a flash freeze warning for the Bancroft area.

Coulson says both drivers and pedestrians will have to be careful due to these types of conditions.

Coulson says up to 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall tomorrow night and into Saturday. After that, the temperature is expected to stay cold for a good part of next week.
