This history of the Bancroft hotel will be recognized by the Hastings County Historical Society.
The Belleville Intelligencer reports the hotel, which is now the Bancroft Eatery and Brew Pub, will be receiving one of seven historical brass plaques that will be put up across Hastings County this summer. The organization will be working with the town to determine when the unveiling ceremony will be held.
This is part of a project which began last summer when five historical plaques were put up in Belleville to mark the city’s 200th anniversary.
