Bancroft home sales took a recent plunge, but prices still went up slightly.
The Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors says 12 homes were sold in the Bancroft area in December, marking a 20 per cent year-over-year drop. However, the price of these homes was up 2.7 per cent from a year earlier. The average price of a home in the area was just over $235,000 last month.
There were 51 active listings at the end of last month, the lowest in the area’s history. Homes spent an average of 4.3 months on the market in December, a slight drop from the year before.
