A significant amount of freezing rain is expected to touch down in the Bancroft area starting this afternoon.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning as a result.
The weather agency is calling for a mix of snow and ice pellets to start falling this morning, before changing to freezing rain this afternoon. This could cause roads to get slippery, and tree branches to break.
The freezing rain is expected to turn to rain overnight.
