Bancroft OPP is reminding drivers to watch for pedestrians on the road.
This comes after two collisions involving pedestrians in just over two months. They both happened near Hastings Street North in Bancroft.
Constable Philippe Regamey says it’s important for drivers to pay attention.
Regamey says most collisions involving pedestrians happen at intersections, so it’s especially important to be paying full attention. He also says, even though pedestrians have the right of way, they still need to be careful.
Regamey says, ultimately, the Bancroft OPP wants everyone to be safe and doesn’t want anyone to be hurt because of a collision.
