Charges have been laid in an arson case from October. A GMC pickup truck was reported stolen from a home on Harley Street in Bancroft on October 20th and the next day it was found destroyed by fire, along a trail near Oak Street. Police have charged a 19 year-old Bancroft man with two counts of theft under $5000, arson and possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking. A court date has been set for January in Bancroft.
