Environment Canada can’t disagree with Wiarton Willie’s Groundhog Day predictions.
The rodent saw his shadow today, which some people believe means another six weeks of winter are on the way. Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says that’s a pretty sound forecast for the Bancroft area.
Coulson also says February will likely be colder than usual.
The average daytime high in Bancroft during February is around the minus two mark.
