Central Hastings OPP continues to have success with the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system installed on one of their cruisers. The system automatically scans licence plates and can then check to see if they are expired or stolen and check if the owner’s licence has been suspended. On Saturday morning officers stopped a 46 year-old Northbrook man, while he was driving through Tweed and charged him with driving while under suspension and driving a car without a valid permit.
