A fatal crash in Prince Edward County has claimed the life of a 70 year-old Tyendinaga First Nations’ woman. Police say that she was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander when she missed a curve in the road. The SUV went into a ditch and struck a tree. The driver and only one in the car, Leona Bender, died at the scene. A post-mortem was to take place on Monday. The OPP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
