Heath Unit asks women to get screened 12-01-2014 AS

Your local Health Unit is reminding women how important it is to get screened for cervical cancer. Health Unit staff say women between 21 and 69 should be getting a pap test at least every three years. Recent statistics from Cancer Care Ontario, however, show that the number of women over the age of 60 getting tested is declining. Women with a health care provider should be booking regular screenings. Those without a doctor are able to get tested through the Sexual Health Clinics offered by the Health Unit.
