Driving while suspended and speeding without a driver’s licence has brought the law down on two men last Friday. Using the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, Madoc OPP stopped a 42 year-old Belleville man in Tweed because his plates were expired. He had also been suspended from driving and was charged on both accounts. Then officers stopped a 25 year-old Stirling for speeding in a construction zone on Highway 62. That driver did not have a driver’s licence. He was charged with speeding in a construction zone while workers were present, and driving without a licence.
