Many Highlands East businesses say the municipality is a good or excellent place to do business.
That’s according to a Business Retention and Expansion report presented to council earlier this week. Forty-three entrepreneurs were interviewed as part of the report.
While 88 per cent of businesses surveyed are satisfied, 59 per cent say they have difficulty attracting employees with the right skill set to the area. To tackle that, the report suggests having an annual job fair, along with making trades skills training available locally.
