Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health is reminding parents to get their children’s vaccination records updated.
This comes as the health unit has sent out the second round of suspension notices to over 2,300 students in the region who do not have up-to-date records. Program Manager Bill Sherlock says it’s important for the health unit to know which students are immunized.
Students without all their vaccines will start getting suspended on April 6th. Sherlock says that gives you lots of time to let the health unit know whether or not your child’s immunization records are up-to-date.
If you’re child doesn’t have all their vaccines, you can book an appointment to get them through the health unit or through your physician.
