The suspect in the murder of two girls in British Columbia, almost four decades ago, once lived in Minden. Sixty-seven year-old Garry Taylor Handlen is facing one count of First Degree Murder in the death of Monica Jack, and one count of First Degree Murder in the death of Kathryn-Mary Herbert. He was arrested in B.C. last Friday without incident. OPP have confirmed that the suspect did live in Minden at one time, although they did not specify when. They add that any further inquiries should be sent to the R.C.M.P. in British Columbia.
