The annual Homecoming Hockey Tournament is coming up in Bancroft this weekend.
Tournament Chair George Eastman says this is a fundraiser for the North Hastings Community Centre, which helps lower the cost for hockey teams using the ice throughout the year.
Eastman says this is a chance for current and former North Hastings residents to come and play hockey together, visit their families, and see the area. He also says it helps support the local economy.
According to Eastman, there will be a couple new divisions during this year’s tournament to get everyone participating.
While registration for the tournament is closed, Eastman says you can still watch the games for free, and buy 50/50 tickets to help support the arena.
