Bancroft OPP has made an arrest in the case of vehicle theft and arson reported in late August. At that time a GMC pickup truck that had been stolen from a home near Ennismore, was found burning on Brethour Road in Hastings Highlands. Later that same day a Ford pickup truck was reported stolen from a driveway on Mira Street in Hastings Highlands. A 26 year-old Peterborough man was arrested late last week and has been charged with possession of stolen property, theft over $5,000, arson, and driving while suspended. He has been held in custody until today when he is to appear in a Belleville court.
