The idea of a union library will be pitched to Hastings Highlands twice over two days.
A representative from the Southern Ontario Library Service will be in the municipality on Tuesday and Wednesday to present the idea. A union library would see two or more communities in North Hastings sharing a single board, with one full-time CEO, bookkeeper, and processing clerk.
The Hastings Highlands Public Library Board will be holding a special meeting at the library tomorrow night at 7:00pm to find out more. Then, the idea will be presented again during Wednesday’s council meeting, which starts at 9:00am at the Hastings Highlands Centre in Maynooth.
