A surprise presentation of a Life Membership was made to Peter Klein at a special meeting of the Bancroft Lions Club last night. Lion Peter has been a member of the club since 1954. During his 60 years of service Lion Peter has been involved in many fundraising and community service projects. He is well-known for his involvement with the annual Santa Claus Parade, which he has worked on every year since joining the Lions. Being given a Life Membership is way to honour Peter’s service, it puts him into a very select world-wide group of Lions. You will find Lion Peter at the old M.T.O. yards this Saturday, marshalling the floats for this year’s parade.
