Bancroft OPP nabs two suspended drivers in two days

Bancroft OPP has charged two people accused of driving with suspended licences over two days.

Police say an Oshawa woman was clocked speeding on Highway 28 in Highlands East on Saturday morning. When officers pulled her over, they found out her driver’s licence was suspended. The 21-year-old was charged for it, and had her vehicle impounded.

Then on Sunday evening, police caught a Petawawa man speeding on Highway 28 in Faraday, and stopped him. Officers then found out his driver’s licence was also suspended. He now faces charges of driving while suspended and failing to surrender insurance.

Both accused will appear in Bancroft court on May 1st.
