Local communities to share extra $15,000 from main street funding

Communities in and around North Hastings will get more than originally expected for their main streets.

That’s according to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, which has announced how $26-million from the province’s Main Street Revitalization Initiative will be split. AMO says each community in the area will see a roughly four per cent increase from the estimates announced in January.

– Bancroft will receive $41,078, up from $39,330.

– Carlow-Mayo will receive $38,409, up from $36,775.
