Rick Phillips, Reeve of the Township of Tyendinaga, was officially sworn in as the Warden of Hastings County on Thursday, and will hold the office for the next two years. He held the position previously in 2012 and 2013. Phillips expressed appreciation for the confidence County Council has shown by electing him. He added that being given a two-year term is important as there are many priorities for council. Completing the new Official Plan and submitting it to the Province for approval is one of those initiatives Phillips wants to complete.
