Killaloe OPP Releases Long Weekend Seatbelt Campaign Results

Killaloe OPP has released the results from its long weekend seatbelt campaign.

The campaign was targeting drivers who weren’t wearing seatbelts on OPP patrolled roads over the Easter Long Weekend.

Just one driver was charged by Killaloe OPP for not wearing a seatbelt, however many others were charged with different offences over the long weekend.

Eight ride checks were conducted by police, while 76 speeding charges were issued over the four day weekend in the Killaloe Detachment area.

Last Tuesday, Killaloe OPP conducted several stops in Madawaska Valley involving transport trucks. Two vehicles were placed out of service by police while four provincial offences notices were issued.
